How does the milk subscription work?

We are a doorstep delivery milk service, which means we will bring the milk direct to your door, with multiple drops every week.

You choose how many litres and what type of milk (whole, semi, skimmed), which day(s) you prefer and one of our farmers will deliver to your door. All orders must be prepaid on our website (we cannot accept cash on delivery).

By when do I need to place my order?

All orders must be placed by 11.59pm the penultimate day before delivery. For example, for a Tuesday delivery, orders must be placed by 11.59pm Sunday.

Is there a minimum number of bottles per order?

No, there is no minimum order.

Our milk comes in 1 litre (1.75 pint) glass bottles and you can order just the one if all you need is a little milk for your tea.

Do I have to return the bottles?

Yes please! That is how we ensure a sustainable service.

Just leave them on your doorstep the night before your next delivery date and we will collect them.

Do I need to clean the bottles?

Please give them a rinse – but don’t put them through the dishwasher as we will rewash and sterilise the bottles.

A rinse keeps them fresh until we collect them, but means we aren’t double-washing and wasting water.

Is there a delivery charge?

No – the delivery service is included in the price of the milk.

How can I cancel or skip a week of my subscription?

Go to “My Account” section to edit your order. Any issues, please drop us an email at chiddingstonedairy@gmail.com.

What time will my milk be delivered?

We will endeavour to have your milk on your doorstep before 9am, but depending on the route the exact time might change. Note that this means some deliveries will happen in the wee hours – we will do our best to be quiet and not disturb any pets!
